    This type of white refined sugar is most commonly used in Japan. It is finer, more sweeter and moist than the table sugar found in the US and UK. It is a pretty good substitute for caster sugar in most baking recipes. The key difference is that it is more sweeter and slightly grainier than the caster sugar you will find in the US and the UK.
